Martha Marlow Carpenter

September 17, 1948 — April 9, 2016

Martha Marlow Carpenter, lifelong resident of the Frostproof area, passed away Saturday, April 9th at home following a battle with breast cancer.  Born in 1948 in Frostproof, she was a faithful member of Family Life Church, a doting grandmother and a dedicated beekeeper. She was a housewife, bookkeeper, volunteer, waitress, and truck driver in her varied career.  Martha was a member of the First Baptist church before Family Life and was a well-loved Sunday school teacher and librarian there.  She is survived by her husband: Bill Carpenter; Son-Jim (Mary) Neff, Frostproof; Daughters-Kathy Wood, Frostproof; Edithanne (Ben) Fritz-Charlotte, NC; Crystal (Joe) Schack-Ogdensburg, NY; mother: Edith Marlow of Frostproof; as well as 12 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by father: James Marlow; son-in-law: Fred Wood, and son: David Clark. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm with the service beginning at 2:00 pm at the Family Life Church of Frostproof, 139 Bulldog Way, Frostproof, FL  33843.  Memorial contributions may be made to: Lydia’s House (863)773-0877 www.Lydias-House.com
