Marta Rodriguez Esquilin, age 90, passed away on December 5, 2025, in Sebring, FL, she was born August 2, 1935, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to Jose Ramon Rodriguez and Josefina Esquilin.
Marta is survived by her husband of 57 years; Dionisio “John” Esquilin, son; Jose Esquilin, daughter in-law’s Ashley Esquilin, Bernandita Solis, sister; Maria Rodriguez, grandchildren; Alina Melon, Jose Gabriel Melon Campos, Christian Esquilin and Gabriel Esquilin, nieces; Mariestela Resto, Marieluz Fuentes, Mariella Andujar and Mayra Andujar and nephews; Jaime Roman and Jose Alberto Roman. She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Juan Ramon Melon.
Marta enjoyed knitting, reading newspapers, cutting others hair and being with her family.
Family will welcome everyone for Marta’s visitation on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home. Her graveside service will be on December 15, 2025, at 1:30 pm at Bougainvillea Cemetery in Avon Park, FL.
