Marlyn Hunter Edwards, 92, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at his home. He was born November 9, 1919, to Keith and Effie Hazel (Hunter) Edwards in Rouses Point, New York, and had been a resident of Sebring since 2001, coming from Lake Wales, FL. He was a Supervisor in the fabrication industry; of the Christian faith and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department in Norwook, New York, where he served as a member of the Color Guard, carrying the American flag for the Department and was in attendance at President Ronald Reagan's inauguration. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Joyce Edwards of Sebring; sons, Richard (Eileen) Edwards, Adams Center, NY; Dale Edwards, Sebring and Michael (Dolores) Edwards, Cape Porpoise, ME; daughters, Beth (David) Enslow, Potsdam, NY and Michelle (Jason) Cord, Zolfo Springs, FL; brothers, Hollis Edwards, Potsdam, NY and Jack Edwards, Floyd, VA; his beloved dog Pepper; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Donations may be made in his memory to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Rd., Sebring, FL 33870.
