Marion Tex Fletcher, 91, of Sebring, Florida, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016. He was born on January 19, 1925 in Redford, Michigan to the late Thurman A. and Bess (Myers) Fletcher. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and the European Theater and Pacific. Marion worked for 44 years with Fletcher and Rickard Excavating Company. After retiring, he worked part time at Huron Meadows Golf Course in Brighton, MI until he and Bernadine moved to Englewood, FL in 1990. He moved to this area in 2000 and was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Avon Park. His passions were work with church, being with his family and he loved to travel and golf. He was a life member of B.P.O.E. and the VFW. Survivors include his wife, Bernadine Fletcher-Sebring, FL; children, Donna Lobbestael-Sebring, FL; Janet Watson (Frank)-Fenton, MI; Daniel Fletcher (Jeanine)-Dexter, MI, grandchildren, David Lobbestael (Tonya); Kimberly; John; Ryan; Nicholas and Corrie (Jeremy), great-grandchildren, James and Jordan, sisters, Virginia Mortimer-Guntersville, AL and Sally Kohlmeyer- St. Helen, MI. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ina Clark; Dallas Fletcher; Eunith Fletcher; Joan Trabue; Otis Fletcher; Richard Fletcher and Thurman Fletcher. There will be a memorial service on Sunday, June 26, 2016, 2:00 pm, at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Avon Park with Reverend John C. Grodzinski officiating.
