Marilyn T. Wilkin, age 81, born on June 11, 1942, in Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 25, 2024, in Sebring, Florida. She was the beloved daughter of Norman Kalie and Eileane (Lindenburger) Kalie.
Marilyn dedicated her life to her family and community, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and grace. She is preceded in death by her loving parents but is survived by her devoted husband, of 62 years, Samuel Lee Wilkin. Marilyn's memory will forever be cherished by her son, Jeff David Wilkin of Sebring, FL, and daughter, Michelle Lee Kirkland of Loxahatchee, FL.
In addition to her children, Marilyn is survived by her brothers, Norman Kalie of Stewart, FL, and Richard Kalie of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Her presence will be deeply missed by her grandchildren - Melissa Kirkland, Larry Kirkland Jr., Jeffrey Wilkin Jr., and Brandon Wilkin - as well as her nine great-grandchildren.
Marilyn was a vice president in the banking industry and an esteemed member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She had been a resident of Sebring since 2004 and was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 74 and the Highlands County Shrine Club.
Beyond her professional and community involvement, Marilyn was known for her green thumb and passion for gardening. As a master gardener, she found solace and joy in nurturing plants and flowers, bringing beauty to the world around her.
Her remarkable journey may have come to an end, but the memories she created and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest in peace.
