Marilee Rose Jacobs

Marilee Rose Jacobs, 76, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Monday, May 14, 2012, in Winter Haven, Florida. She was born July 17, 1935, to Thomas C. and Sophie (Krause) White in Peoria, Illinois, and had been a resident of Sebring since 2008, coming from Morton, Illinois. She was a homemaker, of the Lutheran faith and attended Sebring Church of the Brethren and enjoyed bowling, riding her bicycle, walking and reading. She is survived by her daughters, Debra Sue (Stephen) Ratay, Hiawatha, Iowa and Denise Lynn (Curtis) Pickens, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and her good friend, Bob Rhodes of Sebring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald H. Burch and sister, Marilyn Westhoff. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at Sebring Church of the Brethren with Pastor Terry Grove officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date in Peoria, IL. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.
