Marie A. Wells

Marie A. Wells, Schuenhoff, passed away on September 10, 2026, in Sebring, Florida, at the age of 89. She was born on January 10, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York.

Marie will be remembered as a patient, kind, loving, and thoughtful woman whose life was centered on caring for others. For more than 20 years, she worked as a nurse, offering comfort and compassion through her profession and touching many lives along the way. Among the things she treasured most, raising her children and her family stood as her proudest accomplishment, a reflection of the devotion and love that shaped her life.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Wells, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. She also leaves behind her daughter, Elizabeth Persico; her sons, Wayne Wells and wife Pam, Matthew Wells and wife Mary, and Chris Wells and wife Susan; and lastly numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The love she gave to her family and the steady presence she offered them will remain a lasting gift in their lives.

Marie was preceded in death by her father, George Schuenhoff, and her mother, Marie Schroeder.

Those who knew Marie will remember a woman whose warmth was felt in both quiet and lasting ways. Her memory lives on in the family she cherished and in the many lives blessed by her care, her gentleness, and her love.
