Marie Louise Hufhand

Marie Louise Hufhand, age 89, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on March 26, 1926 in Sturgis, Michigan to the late Henry and Esther (Jansen) Taube.  Marie married Charles A. Bonsell, on May 30, 1947, he passed away on September 10, 2000. She later married James W. Hufhand on November 28, 2008 and he survived her. Marie earned a degree in Elementary Education at Wheaton College. She later spent most of her career as a partner/owner with Torch Industries in Elkhart, IN retiring in 1995.  She loved volunteering at Elkhart General Hospital and Florida Hospital in Sebring.  She moved to Sebring in 2005 and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church where she loved singing in the choir.  Other survivors include her two children, Jan Pletcher (Kelly) and Mark Bonsell (Cheryl), and four grandchildren, Bradley Pletcher; Zachary Pletcher; Chanda Bonsell and Michael Bonsell and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Jay and Oliver Taube and one grandson, Casey Lee Pletcher.  There will be a memorial service on Monday, February 15, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at Maranatha Baptist Church in Sebring, FL with Reverend Don Messenger officiating.
