Marie Simone Baptiste

Marie Simone Baptiste was born on May 17, 1957 in Port-de-Paix, Haiti to Elie Tessier and Rosanna Paul. In 1974, she moved to Nassau, Bahamas where she met her husband Duvil Baptiste, where both of them eventually moved to Miami, Florida in 1976. They lived there for over 30 years and had children together. After years of marriage, they separated. In November 2006, Marie Simone relocated to Avon Park, Florida for a slower pace in life. She was a devoted mother who loved her children and grandchildren very much. She was also a great daughter, sister, wife, niece, and cousin to her family. With the grace of God, Marie Simone was able to receive a kidney transplant after years of dialysis, which gave her a decade more to enjoy with her family and friends.  It was a blessing from God himself! Marie Simone will be fondly remembered by her family and friends as a loving mother, friend, and courageous servant of God. Marie Simone is survived by her children: Paul Edouard, Kenson, Mirlaine, Diana, and Kenny. In-Laws: Gilberte Joseph, Wilner Fenelon Grand-children: Paulina Joseph, Kaithy Tessier, Andy Tessier, Elisha Tessier, Paulda Tessier, Benjamin Fenelon, Kenai Baptiste, Gravriel Baptiste, Destiny Willams, Deterika Williams, Denisha Augustama, Deyondra Augustama, Angel Augustama, Da’niya Augustama, Angelina Augustama and Amani Black. Sisters, and brothers: Myrlande Dessources, Marie Edline Tessier, Guerda Tessier, Joanna Tessier, Jean Elie Tessier, and Smith Tessier. Nieces and Nephews: Ruth Tessier, Rony Tessier, Deliair  Docilet, Jr, Jennifer Duvert, Jannelle S. Dessources, Rebecca Dessources, Naama Bonamy, Ralph Linsky Fils-aime, Aunts and Uncle: Edenne Talan, Leonne Paul, Adelmonde Paul and Bellande Paul.
