Maria Cristina Tucker, born on March 13, 1949, in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, to the late Elisa Tucker, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024, in Sebring, Florida. She was 75 years old.

Maria moved to Florida from New York in 1982, where she built a life filled with love, joy, and cherished memories. She was a devout Catholic, finding peace and comfort in her faith throughout her life. Maria had a deep appreciation for music, especially enjoying the rhythms of Motown, Latin sounds, and the contemporary hits of Bruno Mars. She had a special love for dancing, and her vibrant spirit came alive with every step she took.

She was an exceptional cook, known for her delicious Dominican dishes, which brought her family together around the table. Maria also had a profound love for the beach, finding serenity in the sand, water, and the tranquil peace it brought her.

Maria will be lovingly remembered by her companion, Javier Del Sol, who stood by her side with unwavering devotion. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Christina Soto (Roda) of Sebring, FL, and her four treasured grandchildren—Christine, Nicolas, Christopher, and Alicia. Her legacy also extends to her great-grandchildren, Julian, Bryson, and Ellie, who brought her immense joy.

As a grandmother, Maria was deeply involved in her grandchildren’s lives, always offering a warm embrace, wise words, and delightful stories that captivated everyone. She had an adventurous and happy spirit, and her family will forever hold her in their hearts for the love she so freely gave.

Maria Cristina Tucker was a loving, joyful woman who touched the lives of many with her storytelling, kindness, and zest for life. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
