Maria Victoria Lopez

Maria Victoria Lopez, age 62, of Avon Park, FL departed her loving family on Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Tampa, FL.  Maria was born in Bronx, NY on October 2, 1958 to Miguel and Victoria Lopez of Humacao, Puerto Rico.

Maria had been a resident of Avon Park, FL since 2001. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She proclaimed her life to Christ and became a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista de Avon Park, under the ministry of pastor Jonathan Soltero.

Maria loved spending all her time with family. She would always pray for and with others. Maria enjoyed watching telenovelas.  She loved music and to dance. She was always laughing and wearing a smile on her face. Maria was a caring and loving person, devoted companion, mother, grandmother and friend. Always thinking of others first. “To know her was to love her.”

Maria leaves to cherish her memory her loving companion Eduardo Hernandez.  Two beloved sons; Nelson Nieves (Tashayla) and Jonathan Sanchez (Veronica). She was preceded in death by her loving brothers; Jose Lopez and Miguel Lopez. Beloved sisters; Ada Carillo, Maribel Lopez, and Maria Ivelisse. Her beautiful grandchildren; Kia, Destany, Jamil, Taleah, Maleek, and Anahii. She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 26, 2021 at 12 Noon at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park.  Family will be receiving friends beginning at 10:00 AM.  She will be laid to rest in Bougainvillea Cemetery.
