Maria Zoraida De Armas

Maria Z. De Armas, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in Miami Springs, FL. She was born on May 17, 1924 in Caraballo, Cuba to Valeriano Ancheta and Candida Alonso. She had lived in Florida for over 20 years coming from New York City.  Maria enjoyed sewing, knitting and cooking and also loved community service with her church.  Survivors include Sons: Leandro Noel De Armas (Elsia); Evaldo De Armas (Raquel); Daughter: Zoraida Moore (Bill); Brother Argelio Ancheta; Sister: Caridad Prado; six Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband: Leandro De Armas; one sister and four brothers.  A funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Avon Park Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church with entombment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
