Margie T. May

Margie T. May, age 76, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 in Sebring, FL. She was born on February 25, 1946 in Vaucluse, SC to Garnett N. and Alyne J. (Freeman) Tanton. Margie  worked as a store manager in the retail industry. She was of the Methodist faith, and has been a resident of Sebring since 2018, coming from Gibson, GA. She enjoyed  playing BINGO, golf cart riding, she loved her dog Ammo, and she loved her family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her loving children, Glenwood Ziegler (Melissa) of Gibson, GA; Tonya Gearin (Daniel) of Lake Placid, FL; Kenneth Ziegler of N. Augusta, SC; sister, Pam Tanton of Lake Placid, FL. Surviving are also 2 grandchildren, Ashley Newsome (Jason), Michael Ziegler; 1 great grandchild, Gage Newsome, and 6 special grandchildren, Angelica Gearin, Alex Gearin, Chance Gearin, Sierra Flint, Mykenzie Gearin, Zackary Gearin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her fiancé Danny Jester; 2 brothers, William T. Tanton, Garnette Tanton Jr. (Sandy);2 sisters, Betty Ann Tanton, Patricia Ann Walker.
