Margaret "Peggy" V. Schilling passed away on July 16, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on August 12, 1931, in Ellwood City, PA, Peggy was the cherished daughter of John and Margaret Mackey. Peggy spent her professional life working as an executive secretary for a steel mill company, where she was known for her dedication and exceptional organizational skills. In 1995, she relocated to Sebring, FL, bringing with her a warmth and kindness that quickly made her a beloved member of the community.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister. She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her daughter, Amy Duplaga (Mark) of Ohio; her son, Donald William Moyer of Pennsylvania; her brother, Randall Scott Mackey of California; and five adored grandchildren.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, reflected in her active membership at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Peggy's creative spirit shone through in her involvement with the Highlands County Quilt Guild, where her intricate and beautiful quilts were admired. Her generosity extended beyond her family and friends, as she volunteered her time to Meals on Wheels, ensuring that those in need were cared for.
Known for her loving, compassionate, and giving nature, Peggy always put others first. Her patience and talent were evident in all she did, whether in her professional endeavors, her creative projects, or her personal relationships. Peggy's spirit of love and generosity will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
