Margaret V Kambrich died Sunday, February 3rd, 2019. She was born December 18, 1920. Margaret grew up in Churchton, Maryland along the shore of the Chesapeake Bay. She worked for several years at the FBI in Washington D.C. as one of director J. Edgar Hoover’s secretaries in the 1940s. Margaret married her husband Earl R Kambrich in 1947. They lived in Alaska, Ohio, California, Long Island, and Connecticut during the course of their 52 years of marriage. She loved to travel and was a wonderful host, holding wonderful dinner parties for friends, family, and business clients that Earl would sometimes bring home to dinner at the last minute.
Margaret is survived by her son James (Susan) of Glenmont, New York, daughter Patricia Daugherty (Raymond) of Frederick Maryland, and sister Evelyn (Eldridge) Williamson of Solomons Maryland. She was the loving grandmother of Caroline Kambrich of Hamden, Connecticut, Katherine Kambrich of New York City, and Sherri Neilson (Bob) of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.
Margaret requested to be cremated and her ashes will be interred at the family plot in Maryland. Private services will be held later in the spring. The family would especially like to thank the loving staff at The Manor at Lake Jackson. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Woodland Hill Montessori Sue LaVigne Scholarship fund.
