Margaret Rose (Sasso) DeGregorio passed away on Mother's Day, May 11, 2014, just 8 days shy of her 100th birthday. Margaret was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived a life of true service and sacrifice. Service to her grateful family and friends and many organizations as well. The guiding principle of her life was her exemplary service to the Lord. She gave everything of herself and neither wanted nor expected a return. She recognized the inner beauty of everyone she met.in her declining years her first comments to all were, "You are beautiful," and "I love you." She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She volunteered for many years at the Father Coleman Senior Center in Canton, Ohio. She was a member of the Saint Bartholomew Italian Club and the Women's Italian Club. She is survived by her children: Joseph (Amy) DeGregorio-Houston, TX; Dr. Nicholas (Judy) DeGregorio-Pittsburgh, PA, and Connie Parsons-Sebring, FL, six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael DeGregorio and daughter, Frances DeGregorio. There will be a private family service held at a later date.
