MARGARET M. BROD Margaret M. Brod, 91, of Lake Placid, Florida, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011, in Sebring, FL. She was born December 29, 1919, to Nicholas and Viola (Ash) Meyers in Etna, Pennsylvania, and had been a resident of Lake Placid since 2010, coming from Allison Park, PA. She was a homemaker and a member of St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid. She enjoyed painting an most especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Marjean B. Blackham, Gibsonia, PA; Nancy J. (Samuel J.) Fike, Brackney, PA; Susan M. Barefoot, Allison Park, PA; James N. (Linda) Brod, Sebring and Thomas (Sharon) Brod, Cape Coral, FL; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Brod and son, William Brod, Jr. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. James Catholic Church, 3380 Placid View Dr., Lake Placid, FL 33852.
