Margaret "Marge" Boever

Margaret "Marge" Boever, age 92, of Avon Park, FL, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at her home. She was born September 30, 1921 in Augusta, GA to Lewis Arthur and Maggie (Cartledge) Hamilton. Mrs. Boever was one of the two first women hired by the Hialeah Police Department to serve as a Police Officer where she stayed until her retirement. She was a very active member of the Church of the Redeemer where she served on the altar guild for 25 years, a member of the River Greens Golf Course, an excellent seamstress an extraordinary shopper, and a resident of Avon Park, FL since 1978, coming from Hialeah, FL. She was very fortunate to have two wonderful marriages to two men she loved very much. She will be sorely missed by her family, her friends, and all who knew her. She is survived by her Husband - Vincent Boever of Avon Park, FL; Daughter - Dianne Cravero of Orlando, FL; Son - Danny Hostutler (JoAnn) of Weston, FL; Sister - Carolyn Phelps of Charlotte, NC; 5 Grandchildren; and 8 Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first Husband - Mac Hostutler, 2 Brothers, and 3 Sisters. The family will be holding two Memorial Services. The first memorial service will be held Friday, August 15, 2014 at 6:00 PM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home. The second memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 12 Noon at the Episcopal Church of Redeemer, 910 W. Martin Street, Avon Park, FL, 33825. Father Bill Yates will be officiating both services. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Road, Sebring, FL 33870.
