Marcella June Mitchell

Marcella June Mitchell "Marce", age 90, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. Marcella was born on March 13, 1924 in Glezen, Indiana to James and Bessie (Spitzer) Powers. She was a Sales Associate for Walmart for over 33 years, she enjoyed attending church, traveling and reading and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter-Sharon Schuler (Bob) of Avon Park, Florida; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Marcella was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years-J.B. Mitchell and her son-Ronald Mitchell. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church with Rev. George Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Bougainvillea Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Jude's Research, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
