Luz Maria Nieves

Luz Maria Nieves, age 76, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 in Sebring, FL. She was born on November 6, 1939 in Santurce, Puerto Rico to Felipe and Rufina (Baragas) Negron. Luz had been resident of Avon Park since 1988 having come from Puerto Rico. She was a member of the Camino al Cielo church. Luz is survived by her sons: Raymond Nieves of Avon Park, FL; Moses Nieves of Queens, NY; sisters: Evarisda Negron of Avon Park, FL; Margarita Torres of Palm Coast, FL; brother: Berto Negron of Davenport, FL; and four grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 8: 30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, FL with a funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
