Lula Mae Marquez

Lula Mae Marquez, age 74, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in Sebring, Florida.  She was born December 20, 1944 in Chadbourn, North Carolina to the late Wilford and Evator Lee Chavis.  She had been a resident for 45 years coming from North Carolina, was of the Christian faith and was a nurse.  Lula enjoyed fishing, shopping and cooking.  She is survived by her Children, Charlene Barrera of Sebring, FL; Antonio Chavis of Indiana; Mitchel Rodriguez of Florida; Esteban Barrera of Georgia; Companion of 30 years, William Martin, Jr.; Siblings, Betty Baldwin of Indiana; Ricky Chavis of Florida; Edison Lee of North Carolina; Shirl Helms of North Carolina; Wilford Chavis of Florida; Francine Lyons of Florida; Brenda Chavis of North Carolina; 11 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren.  Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 11 from 11:00am to 1:00pm with funeral service at 1:00pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Placid.
