Louie Wayne Mcpherson

Louie Wayne McPherson, age 72, of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021.  He was born June 30, 1949 in Andalusia, AL to Chester L. and Odessa (Strickland) McPherson.  Louie worked as a Citrus Supervisor, attended the Church of God in Punta Gorda, FL, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He is survived by his Wife – Carol McPherson; Children – Sharon Wilson; Melisa Rimes (Clay); David McPherson (Kim); Grandchildren – Troy; Austin; Dalton; Ridge; Colten; Sisters – Joanna Hewett (Gary); Patricia Howell; Earline Van Winkle; Nieces – Rhonda Price (Brian); Tonya Decker (Shan); and 2 Great Nieces.  Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Winter Garden Cemetery, Winter Garden, FL.  Family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
