Lorraine Marie Helbig

Lorraine Helbig, 84, of Sebring, FL passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.  She was born to the late Frank J. and Victoria (Kasperowski) Krantz on February 7, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA and was married to Dave, the love of her life, for 66 years.  She and Dave had been residents of Highlands County for over 20 years coming from Norwalk, OH.  Lorraine was a great cook and baker, had a green thumb, enjoyed crafts and painting.  She collected Santa Clause ornaments, was a big fan of polka and accordion music. She was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church and no one could say a bad word about her.  She was a family-oriented woman who loved her family dearly.  Survivors include: the love of her life for 66 years; David Helbig of Sebring, FL; Children: Richard Helbig (MaryJane) of OH; Kathleen Dohanic of PA; Bri Hendershot of NC; Sisters: Geraldine Clark of PA and Deborah Schafer of MI along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Donations may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation. www.abcf.org
