Loretta Jo Yost, 85, of Morgantown, WV died peacefully on December 24, 2016 after an extended illness. Born Loretta Jo Moore on August 25, 1931 to the late Charles and Grace (Headly) Moore. In addition, to her parents she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Herbert (Doc) Branham: her brother, Gary D. Branham and one son, Russell Douglas Yost of Houston, TX. She was married to Russell Don Yost, on August 7, 1950 and shared 66 years of life together. Loretta Jo is survived by her husband, Russell Don Yost: her sister Almeada (Darrell) Eddy of Bridgeport WV; two sons, Timothy Yost of Pittsburgh, PA and James Yost of Morgantown, WV, one granddaughter Madison Grace Yost, also of Pittsburgh and Molly, the family dog. Don and Jo made their home on Tyrone Rd. area of Cheat Lake for nearly 60 years most recently residing at Babbling Brook Estates during the summer months. For more than 20 years they lived in Sebring, FL during the winter. Jo was a life-long member of the Church of Christ and a retired employee form the Monongalia County Board of Education. Loretta Jo loved and created many crafts and was a “juried craftsperson” who displayed her Specialty work at regional and state craft venues for many years. She was the owner of her small local craft store named the, “Country Cottage” as well. She enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking. She collected antiques and was fond of glass baskets and pedestal, glass covered cake plates. There will be a visitation Wednesday, December 28th, 2016 from 5p.m. to 7p.m. at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring; FL. Burial arrangements will take place in Morgantown, WV.
