DR. LORENZO HUNTER GRANT Dr. Lorenzo Hunter Grant, age 76, of Sebring, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 in Sebring, Florida. He was born in St. Louis Missouri on November 12, 1933 to John Hunter and Gertrude Grant. He was a member of the Ridge Seventh Day Adventist Church in Avon Park. He served as Pastor in five churches across the United States, served as a Professor in four colleges/universities in Tennessee, Maryland, Los Angeles and Florida; also served as an administrator in California, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelors from Columbia Union College in Maryland, Master of Divinity from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan, Master of Arts & Ph.D. at Howard University, Washington, DC. He was a dedicated pastor, a devoted teacher, an avid golfer, an exemplary husband, father, grandfather, uncle and role model. He served in the U.S. Army during peacetime, and was a resident of Sebring since 2004 coming from Riverside, California. He is survived by his wife, Grayce N. Grant, Sebring FL; sons , Michael (Karen) Marshall, Silver Springs, MA; Loren Hunter (Annika) Grant, Irvine, CA; John-Patterson Hunter Grant, Riverside, CA; daughters, Meredith Grant, Decatur, GA; Angela Grant, St. Louis, MO; Grayce Hunter Grant-Wood, Covina, CA; grandchildren, David, Nicole, Mimika, Sheree, Andrew, Jabbar, Ahmed, Jewell, Briana, Michael Jr., Amber, Nicholas and Sydney Grayce and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, July 25, 2010, at 10:00 A.M. at the Ridge Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Dion Henry and Pastor William Taliaferro officiating.
