Lloyd Cardis

Lloyd Cardis, 90, of Sheridan, Michigan and Winter Resident of Sebring, FL since 1986, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012, in Sebring. He was born October 21, 1921, to Robert and Anna Mae (Fezzey) Cardis in Detroit, Michigan and worked for public transportation in Lansing, Michigan for ten years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was of the Methodist faith, was a life member of VFW Post 5065 in Sheridan, Michigan and was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Maxine Cardis and is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Judy) Cardis of Sheridan, MI and Sebring; grandsons, Jason of Lowell, MI and Jarrod of Greenville, MI and three great-grandchildren.
