Lindsley O. Walker

Lindsley Walker, age 55 passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 in Sebring, Florida. Mr. Walker was born in West Moreland, Jamaica to Stedman and Peggy (Baker) Walker. Mr. Walker was a foreman in telecommunications, attended the Victory Tabernacle Apostolic International Church, Inc., he had been a resident of Avon Park since 1995 coming from Connecticut and he enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Walker is survived by his wife of 25 years-Gladys Walker; children-Tiffany (Andris) Marshall of Avon Park, Florida, Shawn Walker of Avon Park, Florida and Joshua Walker of Avon Park, Florida; mother and step-father-Peggy (Neville) Fletcher of Avon Park, Florida; brothers and sisters-Carlyne (Franklin) Dixon of Avon Park, Florida, Dermott (Sandra) Lawson of Toronto, Canada, Kevin (Carrol) Walker of Jamaica, Jacqueline Walker of New York, Michael Walker of New York and Delsie Fletcher of Sebring, Florida; granddaughter-Genesis Marshall; many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and close friends. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his father-Stedman Walker and a brother-Ray Walker. Visitation will be held Friday, May 24, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Victory Tabernacle Apostolic International Church, Inc... 1008 Peel Street, Avon Park, Florida 33825. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. also at the church with Pastor Wayne Williams. Burial will follow in Bougainvillea Cemetery.
