Linda Kay Merriman

Linda Kay Merriman, born on November 25, 1947, in Sebring, FL, passed away on June 23, 2024, in her hometown, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the beloved daughter of the late, Joe and Donnie Gibbs.  Linda was a remarkable woman, known for her dedication, kindness, love, and happiness.

Linda's world revolved around her family, which brought her the greatest joy. She was a devoted mother to her children, Teresa Kay Lee and Leigh Ann Leonardo, both of Sebring, FL. The light of Linda's life was her five grandchildren: Joshua R Stanaback, Tyler L Stanaback (Jerica), James M Leonardo (Holly), Nathan R Leonardo (Taylor), and Kayleigh N Leonardo. She took immense pride in watching them grow and succeed. She also adored her two great-grandchildren, Maximus J Leonardo and Cleo A Leonardo, who brought her endless happiness and laughter. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Spurlock (Dennis). Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Millie Newman, and her beloved husband, Robert "Bob" Merriman.

Linda's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active member of the Grace Bible Church in Sebring, where she found solace, community, and purpose. Her commitment to her church family was unwavering, and her kindness touched the lives of many. In her leisure time, Linda enjoyed watching baseball, with a special affinity for the Tampa Bay Rays team. She also relished dining out at restaurants, savoring delicious meals and creating lasting memories with her loved ones.

While she is deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.  May she rest in peace, knowing she was cherished beyond measure.
