Linda S Kohler-Ross, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, in Sebring, Florida, at the age of 78. Born on July 2, 1947, in Bloomington, Illinois, Linda's early years were a prelude to a life marked by dedication to her community, her faith, and the arts.
Linda's journey took her from her Illinois roots to Broward County, Florida before settling in Sebring in 2001. Her academic pursuits culminated in a Bachelor's degree, which she utilized to inspire young minds as an Art teacher. Linda was married to the love of her life Walter Ross until his passing in 2008. She had a love for animals, and they became a very important part of her life.
Her work history and association involvement were a testament to her generous spirit. Linda was a fervent supporter of Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse, where she devoted countless hours to ensure the program's success. Her dedication to this cause was not merely seasonal; she worked year-round, embodying the true spirit of giving.
In addition, she worked with Operation Christmas Child, Linda's volunteerism extended to the local food pantry. She took great pride in preparing bags of food to distribute to community members in need. She poured her heart into crafting heart pillows for patients recovering from heart surgery at Highlands Regional Medical Center.
Her leadership and organizational skills shone brightly as she orchestrated the "Out to Lunch Bunch”. Linda's ability to bring people together for a cause was one of her most remarkable qualities.
Linda's legacy is lovingly cherished by her stepdaughters, Randi Aitken (and husband Don) of Brewster, NY, and Monica Muhart of New York, NY, Grandchildren Pamela, Andrew and Nicholas Muhart, Jack and Emily Aitken.
