Lewis Odell Pitts, age 75, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016 in Frostproof, FL. He was born on July 9, 1940 in Lake Wales, FL to the late Odell and Annie Mae (Mixon) Pitts. Lewis has been a lifelong resident of Polk County. He previously served in the National Guard and later worked as a mechanic. Lewis is survived by his siblings: Roy Pitts of Frostproof; and Mary Pitts of Frostproof. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 1 p..m. on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Frostproof with a Funeral Service to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be held at Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof.
