Leroy Herbert Thomas

Leroy Herbert Thomas, age 72 passed away Monday, October 18, 2010 in Indiana. He was born in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania to Herbert D. and Annie (Kugel) Thomas. Mr. Thomas worked in the central shops at Walt Disney World; he was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959 and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1996 coming from Kissimmee, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 42 years-Rosella Thomas of Avon Park, Florida; sons-Vincent Thomas (Tina) of Bogart, Georgia and Dr. Brian Thomas (Kathy) of Columbia City, Indiana; daughter- Dr. Tina Thomas Durrance (Isaac) of Ft. Meade, Florida; brothers-Loy W. Thomas and Dale Thomas (Ruth) both of Zelienople, Pennsylvania; sisters-Lavada George (Paul) of Zelienople, Pennsylvania and Virginia Barnhart (Dale) of Butler, Pennsylvania; 3 grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, October 22, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Father Nick McLoughlin officiating.
