Leonard C. Surdam

LEONARD C. SURDAM Leonard C. Surdam, 85, of Lake Placid, Florida, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011, in Lake Placid. He was born November 1, 1925, to Harlow C. and Eva Irene (Acuff) Surdam in Loma Linda, California, and had been a resident of Lake Placid since 1990, coming from Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the owner and operator of a locksmith company and was an expert in safe locksmithing. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed auto racing, drag racing and midget cars. Mr. Surdam was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Ruth Surdam and his sister, Letha Hilton. He is survived by his brother, Herschel (Priscilla) Surdam of California and several nieces and nephews.
