Lelia "Lee" Edith Buchanan

LELIA LEE BUCHANAN Lelia Lee Buchanan, 86, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012, in Sebring. She was born August 2, 1925 to Ralph and Emma (Ahlert) Buchanan in Union City, New Jersey, and had been a resident of Sebring since June, 1992. Lee attended National Bible Institute in New York City and served as a missionary with SIM in Nigeria. While in Nigeria, Lees ministries included the Miango Rest Home, Jos Guest House and various teaching responsibilities. She served as a dorm parent at Kent Academy and taught Bible at several other schools, including the Girls Bible School in Zambuk and the Hausa Bible School at Billiri. Lee was a member of Bible Fellowship Church in Sebring and is survived by her brother, Dr. Ralph Buchanan of N. Augusta, SC and a nephew, Martin Wymbs of Harrington Park, NJ. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Lee Buchanan will be held Friday, February 3, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the SIM Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
