Lela Mildred Roberts

Lela Mildred Roberts, age 75, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 in Avon Park, Fla. She was born on July 24, 1940 in Spann, Ky. to the late Woodrow C. and Rosa Ann (Cooper) Hicks. Lela moved to Highlands County in 2000 from New Castle, Ind., where she lived most of her life. Her trade was nursing. She loved to read science fiction, loved to work in her rose garden and loved to visit Disney World. Survivors include her daughters, Terry Roberts and Debra Shultz; her son, James Roberts; her sister, Betty Nigh; and grandchildren, Kathleen Reese; Mary Griffith; Laura Shultz; and Alex Shultz.
