Laveta Filisky

Laveta R. Filisky, 97, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 in Sebring, Florida.  She was born on July 6, 1921 in Pana, Illinois to the late William J. and Clara (Gundel) Crawford.  Laveta had been a resident of Highlands County since 1984 coming from Pana, Illinois and attended Eastside Christian Church in Lake Placid, Florida.  She is survived by her Son: Michael Filisky (Sue) of Avon Park, Florida; three Grandchildren and seven Great-Grandchildren.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband: Norman Filisky; Brothers: Paul Crawford and William Crawford; Sister: Katherine Vaughn.  Memorial services will take place on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 2:00pm at Eastside Christian Church in Lake Placid with Pastor Ray Culpepper officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastside Christian Church, 101 Peace Avenue, Lake Placid, FL 33852 or the charity of your choice.
