Laurence "Paul" Allison, Sr.

Laurence “Paul” Allison, Sr, age 77, of Avon Park, Florida, went to be with his Lord on January 8, 2025.  Paul was born on November 30, 1947, in Lima, Ohio, to his loving parents Lawrence Paul and Laura O. Allison (Tubbs). Paul has been a resident of Avon Park since 1978, coming from Saint Petersburg, Florida. Paul was a devoted member of the Baptist faith, attending Whispering Pines Baptist Church. He was a beloved member of his community and a teacher. Paul is preceded in passing by his father, Lawrence P. Allison. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sue Allison – Avon Park, FL, mother; Ozella Allison – Sebring, FL, sons; Paul Allison, Jr (Tara) – Avon Park, FL,  Shane Wirries (Janet) – Avon Park, FL, daughter; Ronda Story (Jimmy) – Sebring, FL, sister Paula Randall (Wally) Sebring, FL, Debbe Roberts (Kevin), Sebring, FL, seven grandchildren, Jason, Jessie, Jamie, Jenna, Jenny, Jackson, Luke, and eight great grandchildren, Dru, Amari, Brody, Ezra, Addi, Finn, Eden Rose, and Saylor.

Funeral services for Paul will be held at Whispering Pines Baptist Church on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial services will follow at Bougainvillea Cemetery in Avon Park.
