Laura E Rivero

Laura E. Rivera, age 97, of Avon Park, FL, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021. She was born on February 12, 1924 in Manati, Puerto Rico to Francisco Pinzon and Clementine Robles. From the family: “What a day it has been. A bittersweet day…This morning at 10:20 A.M., our beautiful grandmother received the “ultimate” healing. She met Jesus and was joyously welcomed into Heaven by her parents. 6 of her 7 siblings and my sweet Daddy. Mamita Laura had quite a presence about her. She was steady in her life, fierce in her faith and had a strong love for her family and friends. She was an amazing mother to my mom a loving grandmother to the 4 of us and she adored her great grands immensely. I am so grateful for her love. I will miss her terribly but I am so thrilled for her. She will be greatly missed, this side of the veil. We are so thankful for the HOPE we have in Jesus that assures us we will ABSOLUTELY see Mita again…in just a little while. So grateful to all of you who’ve prayed for me and my family during this time. Love to you all! We are so thankful to her devoted caregivers at Royal Care and hospice nurses from Good Shepherd Hospice, who’ve become family to us over the years and who have very obviously loved our grandmother. The duration of her fight is a true testament to her grit, stubbornness and strong heart. Thankfully, these qualities run deep in our family.” Laura is survived by her Daughter-Laura R. Sanchez; Grandchildren- Juan Sanchez (Jeanine); Laura Sanchez Moore; Maritza McGill (Robert);David Sanchez (Isabel); Great Grandchildren – 14; Great-Great Grands-7; Sister-Margie Jimenez. She is preceded in death by Brothers-Cruz Pinzon; Carmelo Pinzon; Dolores Pinzon; Jose Pinzon; Sisters- Dolores Sanchez Pinzon; Francis Lugo.
