Laura Case

Laura Case, age 92, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 in Lake Placid, Florida.  She was born on July 21, 1925 to the late Leo and Cecilia (Hasselman) Dorsten in Chickasaw, Ohio.  Laura had been a resident of Highlands County, Florida since 1973 coming from Ohio.  She was of the Catholic faith attending mass at both Our Lady of Grace and St. Catherine Catholic Churches.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting and crocheting.  She loved her family and will be missed.  She enjoyed a good long life and is survived by her sons: Mark Case of Avon Park; Melvin Case, Jr. (Jo) of Ohio; daughter: Janet Prikkel (Elmer) of Ohio; sister: Mary of Ohio and a special niece: Kathy Algren (Ted) of Ohio.  She is also survived by six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband: Melvin Case and her son: Jim Case.  Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m.
