Larry Alvin Tullis passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on November 15, 1939, in East Liverpool, Ohio, Larry was the beloved son of the late Howard and Betty Tullis.
Larry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, embodying a spirit of dedication and integrity that would carry through all aspects of his life. Following his service, he pursued a successful career as a restaurant owner, where his strong work ethic and warm hospitality touched many lives.
In 2014, Larry moved to Lake Placid, Florida, where he became a cherished member of the Placid Temple Church of God. His faith was central to his life, and he found great joy in worship and the fellowship of his church family.
Larry will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Lori A. Tullis of Cocoa, FL, and Susan M. Walter (Thomas) of Sebring, FL; his brother, Ron Tullis of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Joston DaGrava (Michelle), Lara Finney (Ryan), and Katie Kosut (Matt); and his great-grandchildren, Lily DaGrava, Addison DaGrava, and Lydia Finney.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Phemie Tullis.
Larry was a man of many talents—remarkably handy and able to fix just about anything. He loved spending time outdoors gardening, enjoying peaceful rides in his golf cart, and, most of all, being with his family. His love for them was deep and unwavering, and his legacy of kindness, strength, and faith will live on in all who knew him.
His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be dearly missed.
