Larry W. Albritton went to his heavenly home on September 20, 2024. He was born in Wauchula, FL on November 8, 1938, to J.K. and Bessie Albritton. He was active in the community and his church Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist of Wauchula and First Baptist of Avon Park. Larry served in the National Guard from 1959 to 1965, was a member of the Avon Park City Council for eleven and a half years and was a member of the Lion’s Club. Larry had many hobbies such as hunting, fishing, watching sports, and watching his grandchildren play. He was a hard-working man that was always busy with something. He tended to citrus fields, made cane syrup, gardened and took incredible care of his cows. He was a man that enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, and the most important thing to him was his family. He was a barber for sixty-six years and loved to talk with and take care of his customers.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters. He is survived by  his loving wife of 63 years Betty Sue, daughter; Sacara (Raleigh) Tyler of Avon Park, son; Desmond Albritton of Avon Park, grandchildren; Kyndal, Brandon, Lee, Kelsey, Rhett, Cooper, Sidney, Carlyn, great-grandchildren; Autum, Audrey, Lidiya, Melody, Riggins, Kelsey Wayne, Lincoln, Blakelynn, Fiona, sister; Judy (Bobby) Buckley of Bowling Green, FL, brother; Roy (Maxine) Albritton of Bowling Green, FL, and many nieces and nephews. Larry touched the lives of so many people and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and customers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 28th at 11:00am at Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church with family receiving friends beginning at 10:00am.
