Kenneth Grice

Kenny Grice, son of Marion and Audry Grice, was a lifelong resident of Avon Park, FL. He loved family gatherings, western movies, and drinking coffee with friends. He was an owner/operator truck driver. He worked in the harvesting industry, sod fields, and built roads throughout the state of Florida. Kenny was a proud Marine veteran serving in Japan and the Philippine Islands during the 1950’s. Kenny is survived by his loving family: Clara, his wife of 55 years, a son Steve Grice (Mary Jo), and daughters Melissa Sager (Brent), all of Avon Park, FL;  3 grandchildren: Kevin Grice, Jordan Sager, and Will Sager. He is preceded in passing by his sister, Joyce Brewer of Tennessee. He is also survived by his sister-in-law’s: Diane Hawkins (Al) and Melanie Smith (Ricky) of Avon Park, and Donna Stevens (Roger) of Nevada. Visitation for family and friends will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Avon Park with a Memorial Service to follow at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
