Kenneth Orville Ebert, age 83, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013, in Sebring. He was born August 31, 1929, to Ora Orville and Daisy (Neal) Ebert in Urbana, Illinois, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1992, coming from Indiana. He was employed with Alcoa Aluminum, retiring as an Assistant Superintendent after 35 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean War and was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed fishing and RVing and was a member of the Sebring Elks and Moose and the American Legion in Avon Park. He was a loving father to his children and his family. He was preceded in death by a son, Tracy Noel Ebert; grandson, Kenneth David Ebert; great-granddaughter, Madelyn Paige Ebert; five sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karolyne Douglas Ebert; children, Kenneth Randall Ebert, Buck Creek, IN; Ardell (Douglas) Devers, Boswell, IN and Judith (Dave) Ruppert, Linden, IN; brother, Paul Ebert, Reno, NV; sisters, Ruth Blakeslee, Crawfordsville, IN and Esther (Kenneth) Thompson, Seattle, WA; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Private Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
