Kelsey F. Payne

Kelsey F. Payne, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in Sebring, Florida. He was born on February 28, 1933 in Sebring, Florida, to the late Carroll and Mary (Kelsey) Payne. He was a lifelong resident of Highlands County, where he and his father started the company CM Payne & Son, a seed harvesting business and cattle ranch.  He also served as a 4-H leader and a member of the Highlands Regional Hospital Board. He enjoyed fishing and spending time on the ranch. Kelsey graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree and a love for the Florida Gators. He is survived by his children; daughter: Linda Payne; Son; Kelsey (Candace) Payne; son In-law: Frank Kole; sisters: Gail Beavers and Judy Greer; grandchildren: FJ Kole (Cher), Travis Kole, Matthew Payne, Kacey Payne, Lexey Payne; one great-grandchild: Liam Kole.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years: Beverley Payne; daughter: Dana Kole and two brothers: Jim & Morey Payne. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 3:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Sebring.  Memorial Donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 126 S Pine Street, Sebring, FL 33870
