Katrina Jo Engle, “Mamamiriki”, age 47, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 in Sebring, Florida.  She was born on May 22, 1970 to William Carter and Karin Jo (Kacin) Ryan.  Katrina moved to Sebring in 1989 from Crystal River, Florida.  She was a Teen Challenge graduate and received her nursing certification in Honduras.  Katrina loved the Lord intensely, and she poured that love out to everyone she met.  It was most evident in her mission work in Honduras and her love towards her husband, family and the handicapped and malnourished children she helped.  The Miskito Indians, that were her ministry focus in Honduras, gave her the nickname Mamamiriki as a badge of honor due to the selflessness she displayed daily toward them.  Survivors include her husband: Roger Engle; mother: Karen Jo Ryan; children: Victoria Jo Engle; Roger Dale Engle III; Christian Ryan Engle and Joshua Ryan Adkison; sister: Kimberly Jo Lehner; brothers: Keith Ryan and Luke Ryan.  She is preceded in death by her father William Carter Ryan and Grandmother Wanda Lee Kacin.  There will be a memorial service on Sunday, July 23, 2017, 3:00 p.m., at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring, Florida.  Roger and his family cordially invite those who wish to attend, for a brief social gathering at Don Jose Restaurant.  Food and drinks will be dutch treat.
