Kathleen M. Mobbs

Kathleen M. Mobbs, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in Avon Park, Florida. She was born on March 3, 1926 in Georgia, Vermont to the late Benjamin and Gladys (Labelle) Mobbs. Kathleen graduated from Johnson Teacher College in 1945. She was a teacher at Essex Junction, Jericho Center, and South Burlington. She enjoyed traveling from Avon Park for summers in Virginia, it reminded her of Vermont. Kathleen had been a resident of Avon Park since 2007 having come from Orangeburg, South Carolina. She was a member of the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Kathleen is survived by her brothers: Robert Mobbs of Johnson, Vermont, Raymond Mobbs of Jericho, Vermont, Lawrence Mobbs of Jericho Vermont, Richard Mobbs of Avon Park, sister: Marie Bruley of Avon Park, numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Edward Mobbs, Francis Mobbs, James Mobbs, and sister: Shirley Yost. A memorial service officiated by Father Gerald Grogan, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel in Avon Park.
