Kathleen C. Horwitz

KATHLEEN C. HORWITZ Kathleen C. Horwitz, of Sebring, Florida, passed away at Kindred Hospital in Tampa, FL on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. She moved to Sebring in 1970, after living in various states and countries during her husbands military career. She was born to Lawrence and Henrietta Carlston in Ashland, Wisconsin on September 12, 1934, and married on May 2, 1953 in La Crosse, Wisconsin to her surviving and loving husband, Bert, of Sebring. She was past President and a very active member of the Sebring Womens Club; past President of Ladies of the Elks, Sebring Lodge 1529 and very active during her husbands many years as an officer of the lodge. She was also a long time member of the Sebring Golf Association at Sebring Municipal Golf Course and a very active volunteer with Reach for Recovery, a breast cancer survivors help group. She had been employed several years in customer relations with Barnett Bank. A Memorial Service will be held at The Sebring Womens Club, 4260 Lakeview Drive at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2011. Remembrances may be made to The Sebring Womens Club or Highlands County Humane Society.
