KATHERINE J. HAZELETT SHEPPARD Katherine J. Hazelett Sheppard, 61, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010, in Sebring, FL. She was born June 4, 1949, to Ralph and Edith (Wells) Hazelett in Akron, Ohio, and had been a resident of Lakeland since 1999, moving from Sebring. She worked in Workers Compensation Administration for Summit Consulting, a division of Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and was a member of the National Association of Insurance Women and active member of the Board of the National Insurance Professionals of Polk County. She is survived by her husband, David Sheppard of Lakeland; mother, Edith Hazelett, Akron, Ohio; daughters, Misty (Randall) Austin, Sebring and Ashley Frye, Sebring; sisters, Valerie Hall, Akron, Ohio and Tina Kucinic, Ohio and grandchildren, Dylan, Madison, Domonic and Miles. Funeral services will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until the time of service.
