KATHERINE MARIE BAKER Katherine Marie Baker, 81, of Sebring and Pompano Beach, Florida, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009, in Sebring. She was born October 19, 1928, to Herman and Lidia (Stellmacher) Jahns in Spring Valley, Minnesota, and had moved to Sebring to be closer to her son in 2004, from Pompano Beach. She was a Telephone Operator for Bell South and a member of Telephone Pioneers. In addition, she was a Real Estate Agent, had worked for the U.S. Postal Service and helped run a modeling school. She was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Baker is survived by her Sons, Mark (Maria) Baker, Sebring and Bruce (Bonnie) Baker, St. Augustine, FL; Sister, Beverly Gilbert, Austin, MN; Brother, Burton Jahns, Stewartville, MN; Grandsons, Beau Baker, St. Augustine; Brian Baker, Pinellas Park, FL and Lowell Baker, Sebring and two Great-Grandchildren. A Memorial Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2009, at St. John United Methodist Church in Sebring, Rev. Ron Degenaro officiating.
