Karen Anne Tifft "Momma Tifft" Karen Anne Tifft aka "Momma Tifft", age 72, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on March 10, 1942 in South Shore, Kentucky to Clyde and Dorothy (Aldridge) Herald. Karen has been a resident of Avon Park since 1972 having come from Hillsdale, Michigan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Avon Park, and a Cosmetologist by trade. Karen volunteered and worked as a paraprofessional for the school board and Avon Park High School for over 20 years. She was a sponsor of Key Club, the Junior Class, and Drill Team. Karen also volunteered with the Rotary Club, Relay for Life, and was a member of the XI NU Sigma. Karen is survived by her husband: Paul H. Tifft of Avon Park, daughter: Tracy Worden (Gary) of Avon Park, son: Randy Tifft (Amy) of Clermont, FL., brother: Phillip Herald (Sue) of Waco, KY., mother: Dorothy Herald of Lexington, KY., grandchildren: Shasta Moye, Darla Carter, Kimberly Hinerman, Brandon Tifft, Dalton Tifft, Misty White, Grant Worden, Danielle Worden, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service officiated by Reverend Jon Beck will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Avon Park.
