Karen Louise Cunningham

Karen Louise Cunningham, age 67, passed away on Saturday January 3, 2015 in Lake Placid, Florida. She was born on January 18, 1947 in Missoula, Montana to James Stanley and Catherine Lois (Martin) Kenyon. Karen was a veteran serving with the U.S. Marines. She had been a resident of Highlands County since 1967 coming from Beaufort, SC. She was a school teacher and served as president of Highlands County Education Association and was a past member of Eastern Star and Alpha Delta Kappa where she was president for several years. Karen is survived by her husband: Kenneth Lee Cunningham-Lake Placid, FL, and her children: Kevin (Deborah) Cunningham-Sebring, FL and Kenneth Lee "Rusty" Cunningham, Jr.-Lake Placid, FL, sister-in-law: Gloria (Kelly) Davidson-Avon Park, FL and brother-in-law: Daniel (Paula) Cunningham-Central Lake, MI, two grandchildren: Kyle L. Cunningham and Nicole Cunningham. There will be a funeral service on Sunday, January 11, 3:00pm, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Sebring with Reverend Ray Cameron officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00pm.
